How do I find my friend code?
Open Pokémon GO → tap your trainer avatar (bottom-left) → Friends → Add Friend. Your 12-digit Trainer Code is at the top — tap copy or share.
Want requests to roll in? Paste it into the “Add your own code” box on the front page — it jumps to the front of the queue and every active user gets it next.
FAQ
How do I find my own friend code in Pokémon GO?
Open Pokémon GO, tap your trainer avatar (bottom-left), then the Friends tab, then "Add Friend". Your 12-digit Trainer Code is shown at the top — tap the copy icon next to it, or tap "Share" to send it. That is the code other trainers use to add you.
How many friends can you have in Pokémon GO?
The friend limit is currently 550–650 depending on the latest update (raised from 400 in the 2025 "Forever Friends" update). If your list is full, remove inactive friends to make room.
Why should I add lots of friends?
Friendship level-ups give the biggest XP in the game (up to 100,000+ XP, doubled with a Lucky Egg). Friends also send gifts (free Poké Balls and items), enable Lucky trades, let you into remote raids, and country-specific friends unlock Vivillon patterns.
Will I get the same code twice?
No. PoGO Friends remembers every code it has given you and always serves the next unused one — unlike code boards where you have to track duplicates yourself.
Is it safe to share my trainer code?
Yes. A trainer code only lets someone send you a friend request, which you can accept or ignore. It grants no access to your account.
